Project Overview:
In the New Product Development course, I led the design and development of a sustainable product named RESCUE Innovations. This project aimed to address the environmental damage caused by oil spills off the Venezuelan coast and leverage local resources like sargassum and recycled plastics to create sustainable building materials. Our final product was designed to assist vulnerable coastal communities in the Dominican Republic by providing them with affordable, eco-friendly housing solutions.
Objective:
The project's goal was to apply design thinking and innovation principles to create a business solution that was not only environmentally sustainable but also economically viable. This involved developing a comprehensive business plan, including an executive summary, market analysis, financial forecasts, and a compelling pitch deck to attract potential investors and stakeholders.
